At URMEE we are proud of our work with integrity, in educating and creating healthy unbiased ecosystem in our working. Trust of our villagers and stakeholders is our greatest accomplishment. We believe that education formal or non formal is the only way through which we can create a change for better. Majority of URMEE’s projects are carried out by CSR funding at rural outskirts of Hinjewadi & Shirwal area. A structured process is facilitated coordination among project team, stake holders & volunteers from CSR partners. I feel fortunate and highly privileged to work in Corporate Social Responsibility. Here at URMEE, we enjoy a lot of autonomy in financial and programmatic decision making. In addition, our senior leaders get fully involved thereby extending their support and encouragement to us. I am proud to be associated with the Group, which has been a pioneer in CSR projects. The reputation and integrity that the Group commands in the society and the ethical values through which it conducts projects provide strength and inspiration to work tirelessly for the community We have many landmark achievements during our years of service. Now we are fully aliened to today’s requirement of Health for all, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao‘, and skill training for employability generation. Our team is our biggest strength. We are proud to have very efficient team and to deliver well through this team. Building Social Bonding through Education’ is the theme of the Annual Report. While detailing benefits of CSR projects, it also presented a comprehensive case for sustained investing in CSR projects. In addition, the Report enumerated various partnerships of the NGO with society and industry. The report also speaks about events and programmes where Team URMEE bonded in an informal setting. “Social binding is a part of all processes”. It is about taking responsibility for the impact of our Social activities with schools, communities and other stakeholders, CSR Partners as well as the environment. This obligation is seen to extend beyond statutory obligation to comply with legislation and sees the NGO voluntarily taking further steps to improve the quality of life for the local community and society at large. That is what is being termed as Corporate Sustainability, the focus of NGO son the “people, community and planet”. We constantly strive to improvise both our methods and outcomes and towards this endeavour, have implemented the URMEE Protocol in Pune & Satara. URMEE Protocol is a measuring tool for social performance, based on the line of the URMEE Social Excellence Model.

“From Social Conscience to Social Responsibility”, the journey has been one that started with a vision of charitableness, the vision that wanted to see India become not necessarily an economic superpower but a “happy nation”, which visualised developing not just a organisation, establishing a factory, but the development and growth of sound townships and healthy communities around. Terms like Social Responsibility may have recently become more widely used than ever before but the purpose of improving lives of people has always been central to our work. We have moved far beyond ad hoc stand alone programmes to acknowledging inter- linkages of social development with sustainability. A journey that the URMEE NGO began a decade ago has only matured with passage of time and we continue to fine tune our processes such that we are trying to create a benchmark towards Social Responsibility.”
